Facebook’s short video feature Reels is being expanded to more than 150 countries, according to its owner Meta Platforms, in order to improve its fastest-growing content format.
Reels is a primary priority for the social media behemoth, which just lost a third of its market value following a dismal earnings report.
As a counter to the immensely popular short-video app TikTok, which is owned by Chinese tech giant ByteDance, Meta launched Reels on Instagram in 2020 and Facebook in 2021.
