Six European Countries Send Cybersecurity Team To Ukraine To Help Deal With Cyber Threats From Russia

▫ After Russia formally recognised two separatist territories in eastern Ukraine on Tuesday, Lithuania’s deputy defence minister announced that six European Union countries will deploy a team of cybersecurity experts to Ukraine to assist with cyber threats.

▫ According to Deputy Defense Minister Margiris Abukevicius, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Estonia, Romania, and Croatia will deploy a team of specialists to assist other EU nations, institutions, and partners in dealing with cyber threats in response to a request from Ukraine on Monday.

▫ “Ukraine may want assistance in dealing with specific occurrences or assistance in testing their infrastructure for security flaws,” he told Reuters.
