Engineering Student Priyanjali Gupta, does not have any false tales about how she came up with her AI model that instantly translates American Sign Language (ASL) into English.
Her mother, on the other hand, pushed her to “do something now that she’s studying engineering,” a sentiment shared by most Indian mothers. Gupta is a third-year computer science student at the Vellore Institute of Technology in Tamil Nadu, concentrating in data science.
