Dr. Arif Alvi, President of Pakistan, has invited multinational technology businesses to invest in the country since it has a large talent pool and a favourable investment environment.
On Friday, the President said Pakistan offered significant investment prospects in the domains of information technology and digitalization at a virtual conference with technology entrepreneurs based in Singapore. He went on to say that multinational enterprises needed to take advantage of the country’s business-friendly environment.
App development, AI-based digital identification solutions, digital payments, e-commerce, and digital remittance platforms were all highlighted as areas where Pakistan presented huge prospects to technology companies. It was also mentioned that Pakistan’s IT talent was a huge draw for the international market.
