▫ Apple had its best quarter ever in terms of iPhone sales in Asia, indicating that the Cupertino, California-based business is finally making inroads into the world’s fastest-growing smartphone market.
▫ According to market research company Counterpoint, sales surged 34% year on year to 2.3 million devices in the fourth quarter.
▫ Apple looks to have generated more income than any of its competitors. The US corporation earned an estimated $2.09 billion (approximately Rs. 15,651 crores) in revenue for the quarter, just beating out Samsung, which made around $2 billion (roughly Rs. 14,976 crores).
